First trackday since all the work was done yesterday. Had a fantastic day although it does help that I love Bedford. Car handled equally as well as it did before the accident which was a pleasent surprise. I'm already looking at booking another day there next month.
Currently can't think of anything I would want to change before doing more track time I will just enjoy it for now!

I'll be honest, I would be anxious about doing Donny. Also the car would be far outshone on track by the rest of you who are going. I need to build up confidence in it properly again before heading to a serious track. I'll probably head to Snetterton after another run at Bedford.

You’re right about Donington. Wasn’t until after I’d had 20mins tuition that I felt comfortable enough to really push on

I've fully wimped out of doing Donington! I have however booked another day at Bedford on 5th November then that will probably be it for a few months.
It feels weird having nothing to currently do to the car, although i am on the lookout for a second bucket seat that is larger than the one i am currently borrowing. Otherwise i can't go out as a passenger in my own car!
Another good day at Bedford, was going well until the end of the day. As I left the circuit I suddenly found the car was sounding a bit like an old Beetle. A quick look around a the noise is coming from the front f the car low down so I suspect one of the flexis in the manifold has given up. Not what I wanted when I already knew the lower ball joints need doing over the winter. Time to throw some more money at it!

Just a few small updates. After the trackday it was clear something wasn't right with the exhaust, so having turned the car round and put the back end on ramps I had a look down in the engine bay to find the flexi had gone. I have ordered a pair of replacements which will be welded in at some point into the new year.
Knowing there is a risk of it happening again I decided to order up a full set of Powerflex engine mount inserts. I went for the black series as it doesn't get driven on the road much and in my eyes it reduces the risk of it happening again even more. I fitted the upper engine mount insert after work today and will do the rest in due course.
I also managed to source some new seats, ones that I can actually fit in. I have only fitted the passenger side for now and am contemplating what to do with the other one as matching seats look much better, but there is something about the Cup Racer seat that is so right to the car.

Decided to tackle the toque mount and gearbox mount insert this afternoon. It was going so well until doing up the thread that's on the gearbox. The nut has decided to just keep on spinning. Won't pull anymore thread through but won't let any back out either. Has anyone else had trouble when attempting this? I'm guessing it's time for a new but but not sure I can be bothered with taking it all apart to get there again [emoji17]

No idea I'm hoping it's the nut. I'll have to take it all back out and apart again at some point to find out properly. Might do the exhaust manifold first though as atleast that's progress. I did starr the car after fitting these mounts today, the vibrations are huge! I'm sure it'll settle down when it gets back out in the roadBad luck mate!

Been slowly doing bits as and when I can in preparation for fixing the flexis and lower ball joints. Managed to get the subframe off yesterday morning so hopefully the manifold will be done early in the new year.

Some progress eventually. After having the manifold flexis changed over the festive period I eventually had the chance to re-fit it. Also managed to get the subframe on then tackle the dodgy gearbox mounting pin. Finished off the day by fitting my inner door pull straps that I've had sitting around since September!
Next job is the lower hub ball joints [emoji15]
