RS200 Racing Blue

For servicing and general spannering I use Two Techs in Dartford. For Performance and Tuning I've been using Engine Dynamics.
Cars now going to Beaniesport in Milton Keynes this weekend!
Mixed bag I know and none of them less than 45-60mins away from Hoddesdon. Tried local garages but they didnt know their arse from their elbow when it came to Renaultsport

Just out of interest Ben, how do Beaniesport compare in terms of price for the full conversion to the likes of Engine Dynamics? PM me if you'd rather?

Awesome! If there more reasonably priced at Two Techs in Dartford and they know Renaultsports inside out then I will probably use them next time. Worth going a little bit further if you get a good service. Yer, I have been reading through your thread, bet you can't wait for the conversion, that will be a hoot even more so than it is now. Congrats

About £55 ph labour at TT which for the knowledge and experience they have is good value imo. I'll continue to use them no doubt.
Boost should be quite a giggle!

nice bill and even better result..really happy all works as it should without you being skint :thumb:

Decided this weekend to refurb my brake calipers, they were a bit messy and needed doing. The rear brake discs had also gone rusty and looked rather crap. First things first I removed removed the front brake calipers off the car, removed all the scabby yellow paint and rubbed them down. Then once they were cleaned up I used some VHT primer, VHT yellow and clear coat. I removed the rust on the brake discs at the rear and painted them with some silver hammerite paint, they looks much better now. Another gripe I had was the wheels nuts had gone rusty and quite nasty so I decided the rub them down a bit and use some black hammerite paint on them. Really pleased with the end results.

Adding the clearcoat gives the caliper a nice shine

The ITG panel filter that was fitted had started to disintegrate, I have had K&N stuff before and they are very good quality so purchased one to replace it.

That’s a great result. Look excellent.

Is that a stick on Brembo or did you buy a stencil?

Fabulous freshen up. Top job !

Great contrasting colour against RB too...

When you coming over to do mine

So I recently purchased a retrimmed steering wheel from Royal Steering Wheels, the work is really good I am very impressed. Secondly I have had the car machine polished as there were lots of swirl marks, managed to get most of them out so looks really great. I decided to go out and take a few photos of the latest developments. I will be looking to replace the renault diamond back to standard soon, as far I can gather I need to remove the bumper :unamused:. Anyways check out the latest photos. Thanks.

I Want one of those steering wheels

Bit of TLC for the RS this week. Had a couple days off work so made the most of it. Used Claybar then Fusso coat 99 sealent followed by dodo juice Carnauba wax. It then snowed today..

A few plans for the summer pending funds include:

Full service
- Pollen filter
- Oil filter
- Spark Plugs - NGK platinum
- Coolant
- Brake fluid - Superblue Fluid
- Gearbox fluid - Redline MTF 78w/80
- Engine Oil - Elf Evo 5W40
Bilstein B14 coilovers
Recaro retrim with leather bolsters and alcantara

Looking forward to the summer, plan to go to some car shows and maybe if I am feeling brave take the car out for a trackday. Perhaps not ideal as it is my daily driver at the moment but I have a craving! Its just so much fun on a good road. A few car events planned as well:

- Btcc at Donnington Park - 29th April
- Herts autoshow Welwyn Garden City - May 20th
- Goodwood festival of Speed - 14th July

Thanks man. The previous owner fitted 30mm H&R springs, sits really nice, it's a bit crashy at times but lovely and flat in the corners. Debating if the cost of the Bilstein B14 is worth the money..
you will not be disappointed with the b14's :thumb:

I'm stuck in a similar dilemma don't know whether to go for bilsteins or some eibach or grams springs with my cup dampers?!?!?!?
Mine is a daily and I don't want to compromise the ride quality for better looks with it sitting lower and the benefits of some coilovers for the odd track day throughout the year

Racing blue is the best colour Renault has ever made, it is just perfect.

Car looks awesome, my only comment would be the rear spacers. Either fit at the front as well or remove the rears, I would personally remove the rears.
