Yeah that's fair then, just a thought as a sticking open wastegate can make a turbo car feel so sluggish! My 200sx had it and it was the actuator.

My mates with 1.8T VAG engines are normally the N75 valves, I'm sure the 225 lumps have these too?

thanks for any help..im not that clued up when it comes to the technical specs but I will speak to Trev tmr to see if theres any chance it could be the actuator..
at least it wouldnt be that expensive...
thanks Suraj
have you got the exhaust yet?

Haha no problem, it is more thinking about how it drives so poor, as I read recently someone with a Meg'd Clio having problems with it not holding boost and it was the N75 valve.

Basically the actuator is set at something, let's say 0.5bar boost, the N75 valve bleeds air off "tricking" the actuator, so you can run higher boost (basically in a nutshell lol).
So when they fail, you only get actuator pressure (in this example I used 0.5bar, which probably isn't far off right).
But worse still if there is actual damage to the internal wastegate, that is basically bleeding all boost, then it would drive proper sluggish!

Of course all speculation and Trevor knows his stuff, but sometimes some things are overlooked.

I think it is due today, move parts to find homes for....doh hahaha.
