Oil temp gauge

I'm looking to set up an Oil temp gauge for this winter to make sure that I have no cold start issues.

If anyone has done this can you tell me what I need to source to do this and anyone who has done it can I see your set up.

Cheers

Cold start issues? It's a modern car and our winters are mild. With decent synthetic oil you'll be fine

If your persistent you have 3 easy options:

1) T-piece the oil pressure switch, although space is very restrictive with the filter and coolant pipes it is possible.

2) Sump plug with a sensor thread in the middle to get the sensor into the sump

3) sandwich plate between the filter and block with sender take off on it, easiest way but may aswell have an oil cooler if your going down this route.

Must be mild down in London, last winter in Scotland was horrific.
Just always a handy thing to ensure the car is at a good oil temp level before setting off, I did it to my last car, was just wanting to see how difficult or easy it would be.

i would run with a sandwich plate.

I used this method on my old Impreza and ran an oil temp and pressue guage from it.

was useful, and possibly something I will do with my 200 at some point.
