i'll mount it only in track mate, i don't like it in my car..
i'm going to take the cable sensor from engine to inside car and then when i need it i'll fit it where i want..

Not stupid. I'm intrigued too. Would be a major faff i'm sure, involving cutting the dash and drilling holes.

I couldn't bring myself to drill / cut a car, ever.

Lots of people use pillar pods, like this below. Or, you could always get a spare air-vent and mount it in there?

I don't know now. I'm sure one thing: in a place that my eyes is very fast and simple to watch it.. I think on middle air vent. But only in track days
