Now That's Speeding Ticket....

If only the Dutch pilot had fired! We could have given him an MBE for services to the Country.

I struggle to believe the aircraft would be fully armed and engaged over a flying exercise that close to population.

Nethertheless a good story :tongueout:

Many years ago when I worked for BAe, we used to get the RAF flying in the Harriers for inspection & servicing and 1 time after the pilots heard from our guys we were getting busted by some camped out traffic cops on the way in/out of the site, so one of them left their Anti-Radar systems on (accidentally forgot to turn off on approach) and it fried the electronics in their gun as uses microwaves  to disable

But auto missile lock, well coppers position that'll be flagged up to the pilot but no auto missile fire, which is a shame

Some of what the article is stating is correct on how the defensive systems handle & ignore certain radar's and being painted by a laser, but the anti-radar is to knock out a SAM site usually only when on low level flight (high altitude you got chaffs & flares) so if they were out at sea then the cop wouldn't even be able to paint the aircraft, but if he was in the valleys going low level and they flew over and the cop then had it active it would get detected and zapped, but their told to have it turned off when low level such as coming in to land.
