New Head Unit - Steering Wheel Controls Help

Hi All,

I'm about to purchase a new head unit - pioneer DEH-X8700BT, and i have contacted caraudiocentre.co.uk to ask which connects2 lead i will require to keep my steering wheel controls. Their response below:

"Good Morning,

Yes the steering controls on your 2010 Renault Clio can be used with the Pioneer DEH-X8700BT. For your year of car, there are two different looms. If your car is an iso connection, then the steering control loom that you will need is - CTSRN007.2. If your car has a quadlock connection, the part number is - CTSRN006.2.

With either one of these looms, you will need to purchase a patch lead - CTPIONEERLEAD.

Could someone advise as to how i can find out if my car has an ISO connection or a quadlock connection, so i can determine which lead i need to buy?

surely someone has installed an aftermarket head unit before and can point me in the right direction?

take a look at this thread, it has photos. The standard head unit appears to be ISO connection, so I would assume the upgraded head units are the more modern quadlock.

I had pioneer install with connect 2 wrong loom turned up so had to wait for correct 1 , I don't know which one they fitted... Sorry
