My Full Fat Mistress - 293bhp F4RT - The end of an era...

Had some wearing issues on the drivers Recaro, Renault said they would contribute 50% but that still would've left me with a bill from Renault for just over £500 to replace both the back and seat fabric on just one seat.

Obviously I told them to do one, in fact I replied by saying I could get a full retrim on both seats in Alcantara for £500. Their response was quite comical in that they tried to say that the high cost was due to the quality of materials that Renault insist on using. Once I had picked myself up off the floor for laughing so hard I sent a simple reply stating "such good and high quality that you have a recognised wear issue amongst users of both the 197 & 200" 2 months later I've still not received a response.. Lol

Just got the bargain of the year though on eBay... £80 for a complete cover, get in.

Whoop, Whoop, Whoop, Whoop, Whoop, its a Nankang style

So when I got the new alloys they came with some ****ty me love you ling long chick with dong tyres. I've been rolling on these for a while and to be fair for freebies they weren't too bad, ok the car wants to spin in 4th so yes they're not to hot.

After much deliberation and exhaustive research I've decided to try the Nankang NS-2R's.

These have been getting some amazing reviews with some people saying they are better than AD08's, 595's etc, etc.

They come in 2 compounds so I've opted for the following:

2x 215/45/17 - 180 compound (medium) for the front
2x 215/45/17 - 120 compound (soft) for the rears

Total cost was a tad under £393 delivered so an absolute bargain.

I shall report further when they arrive.

Where did u order the tyres from angel? I couldn't find that size at all!

Seen your car in PFC in WHSmith at the weekend, looking good mate.

Do you know if Ste sells those boost pipes or is it only for his conversions ?

Nice one Mark.. Ste does sell them so you should give him a buzz, they are fantastic quality. I don't know myself if they fit the Meg as he designed them for Clio conversions I believe. Can't see no reason why you couldn't get it to fit.

Awesome Lee... We're they the NS2's or the NS2-R's? What did they wear like?

meg was NS 2's soz pal I put these on as soon as I got the car as the tires on the car were shocking as it was a demo car they were great can’t complain at all never had an issue with grip and the car handled great. And the rocco had NS2-R's they were very good even with my heavy foot, the Rocco had no issues keeping up with the Clio’s before it had big power and even after 10,000 miles they were good they just took a little scrubbing in at the start but after that for the money I don’t think you can get better I will be putting these on my road wheels on the Clio then r888’s or slicks on my track wheels.

I used them for drag racing at race wars (in both cars) and lots of spirited driving but not on track bud to be honest I would have used the meg but it got nicked so never had chance bud, but even when the car was recovered for the second time they still had plenty of tred left lol. Im sure they would be fine and a friend of mine has some on his S2000 which he tracks and hes nevery compalined but I suppose its what your comparing them to ?

I have no doubts I will put these on the Clio as they were great for the price and at arround £60.00 a corner for my daily drive which to be fair I cover about 30,000 miles a year and then for me it makes sense to have a set of track wheels which I want either r888's or Slicks for that special occasion:thumbsup:

The tyres arrived today so excellent service. Ordered on Sunday night and posted out yesterday. Funny thing was the mediums were sent via APC.and the Softs arrived separately with City Link.

niiiiiice:wink:)) You had a long Xmas present list for yourself mate by the looks of it!

Not really for Christmas mate, the car is also my demo car so its needs to showcase the products that have been happening in the background.for some time now.

Thank you.. The brakes and coilovers have been worth the wait. Got quite a few more things in the pipeline but they'll come next year.
