Megane conversion help please?

Hey folks, not posted in a while...
Been doing odd bits on my Clio but starting my own business has taken up most my time recently...
So anyway, I've recently decided I need more power and found a good cheap engine and bits from someone I know.
The car was mapped to 268bhp
But it's a 2005 (not an r26)

I've read through some guides and people keep saying you need the R26 ecu?
Is this correct, and for what reasons?
Could I use the ecu,key, key reader and clocks from the donor car?
Really wanted to use the ecu with the engine as it is already mapped

As long as the ecu is a Euro 4 one then it'll work, doesn't have to be an r26 one.
Alternatively yes, you could use the ecu, key, and key transponder from the donor car.

Pretty much, going to start on Tuesday, so I will be cleaning it all up and changing the plugs on loom to suit Clio loom (while I wait for arp rod bolts to arrive)
Then I will be painting the block etc so it looks tidy then get it ready to be fitted straight into car!
Then I just need to plumb in the intercooler and rad etc

Well, today I found the ecu is no good so I need to find a newer ecu and key. And will need to get it mapped again... the cost of this conversion is going up at a rapid rate!!! Ha!
