yeah I went for a dark grey instead of the black alcantara. Quality is superb.

lesson learned today. Took indicators apart and gave them a good clean. Wouldn’t clip back together so used a little super glu - you can’t really see it but as it’s dried it’s reached with the plastic and fogged/marked the clear plastic.

New one from eBay on their way!



Side trim back on though and everything very very clean.


Just waiting for trolly jack to be delivered to have a go at the front discs

expect plenty of questions when I get that far!!!!!

Discs are easy as. Only four bolts once you get the wheels off. Probably much easier than that damn airbag!

New(ebay) bonnet on the way as existing one has deep gouge down it

CNC bracket for the MAP sensor cane today.

Short test drive seemed to reveal it has done the trick with no kangerooing, hesitation or flat spot on second gear. Pick up when mashing it in 2nd is now instant.

brilliant mod for £20 if it has worked!

mine can kangeroo all the way down the street In 2nd when cold and sometimes when I plant the foot in 2nd nothing happens or it bogs down

I’ve read of quite a few with similar - there’s a thread on here somewhere with this as the answer after a lot of playing around with vasaline and sealant!

Finally - a run in the sun!

Up at 5:00am for a great run down to Portsmouth and a Sausage and Bacon bap overlooking the Solent!

Roads to ourselves apart from the odd bikers group a bored looking Ferrari/Maca combo. 400k worth of cars but they just don’t work on this island!

Always surprised by just how well matched the 200 and the gp2 are. Completely diff philosophy: 1.6T v 2.0 NA but weight wise, brake wise and handling wise they’re toe to toe.

finished day by booking evening session at Brands on 27th - yay!

Anyone else noticed the photo doing 80Mph and using phone while driving and over the white line. And the mini still left him for dead I think picture of the month for the Mini Forum if not the local police.
