It's a pic on a sunny day, good enough in my book. Can't imagine many people taking pics of the sun itself.

So just to clarify Paul, does the topic allows pictures like mine, with it being very sunny in the back ground, or should the picture have the sun in the picture? But not sunset or sunrise.

I really really don't recommend taking a picture directly of the sun! It will knacker your eyes setting up a shot and knacker you cameras sensor taking the pic!

I don't have a problem with your entry at all Arran. As long as the pic is on a sunny day / blue sky / fluffy clouds etc etc. Anything along those lines is fine!

Just a heads up if your using a dslr a UV filter is always a good shout.

Yeah I would have said a polariser if you have one... Should be able to get the most out of the reflections and colour depth!
