Frozen White Ford Focus RS Protection Detail

I've not posted many of my details on here, but this is what I got up to over the bank holiday weekend and thought people might want a read!

A friend got in contact about detailing his newly acquired Ford Focus RS, so I arranged to do the detail in his valeting bay in Bristol which was very useful.

The Clio was packed up and I arrived Sunday morning around 9am and got to work on this:

The lower half of the car was soaked with AF Citrus and left to dwell while I cleaned the smaller bits, before washing the car with Farecla Detox.

The sun proved a bit of a pain so I didn't get many photos of the processes outside, but here are the few that I did.

The bonnet grills came off to be sprayed black leaving this which was later dealt with using Tardis after washing.

The petrol cap needed some attention

After

Decontamination with AF Iron Out and AS Tardis

Iron Out seemed to have a longer dwelling time than IronX so started to dry on before really dissolving everything, but was effective enough.

Tar deposits were minimal so after a quick wipe round with Tardis, it was onto claying with AF Glide and AF & Dodo Juice Clay. Again, not picking much up after the Tardis and Iron dissolver, but left a nice surface ready for some AF Rejuvenate.

The car was then finished with AF Tough Coat as I've used it on a few whites and silvers now and it always gives such a glossy finish.

This was actually before the Finale wipedown

Thanks for looking!

Looks like a cracking job well done

Always nice to see great quality products used

frozen white is a pain to get to shine like that

Is the Silo Seal worth a purchase? i need a new wheel sealant

Thanks mate, just looking at your thread, good work on the 200!

I'd recommend C2 V3 over Silo Seal, mine just didn't arrive before the detail. :worried: Similar stats on them as far as I'm aware, just C2V3 is more updated!

Excellent work!

A quick one, what kind of product is the AF Tough Coat? Do you spray, allow to cure and wipe after cleaning? Does it work on all colours? Thanks a lot:smile:

Thanks! Yea, you spray onto an applicator or onto the bodywork, then spread and go back to buff after you've done a few panels! It's very easy to use and works on all colours.

There isn't really a thing with waxes working/not working on colours, the only difference colour charged waxes make are to the colour; they might give it a slight tint, but not noticeable in reality.
