Want to try get rid of the swirls and make the Clio look more like new than when I collected the car. Bought the following products and was just thinking have I got it right.... do i need anything else

So:-

TFR to give a quick spray and then rinse off
Snow Foam - Leave on for a while then rinse off
McGuire's Hot rims for the wheels then rinse off
Iron-x to shift any grime that the McGuire's doesn't get off the wheels and along the sills
Full wash using Dodo Juice born to be mild then a rinse off
Then dry fully
Dodo Juice Lime Prime - Pre wax cleanser
Dodo Juice born slippery lube and clay
Dodo Juice Rainforest Rub

Is that a correct order?

I've got some need for speed to use inbetween waxing just to top up the shine.

I've got some wheel wax for the wheels and some metal polish for the exhaust tips that I forgot about  finish work at 6..... gonna be a rapid wash extravaganzer I think lol

Waste of time then Andy, you need to take your time. It takes me 2 days to do the car on my own, wash, cleanse the paint and do wheels then clay and leave in the garage and then get it out next day to polish, wax and dress.

Not a chance you can even do a half baked job in an evening and you are wasting you time. If you want to do what your doing then do one panel tonight properly and one another night and so on.

Don't rush it you are just throwing good time and products away.

OMFG!!! 2 Days?!?!

I would love to have the time and patience to do that to be totally honest :worried:

There will be 2 of us and I estimated 8 - 10 hours on own, might give it the need for speed tonight and then give it a full do on saturday afternoon and sunday, just want to try get it ready for FCS, the car came new and was rushed to say the least, can't complain as Harratts said the car would be the Thursday at earliest and then when he found out my old car had gone he got it ready for the monday which was great as 4 days walking to work would of been a nightmare. Would of been washing and polishing it properly anyway. But thing is I loved the car so much i prefer driving it than polishing it and in the 9 weeks I've had it i'm knocking on for the 4000 mile mark :s

Nice to hear that mate"prefer driving to polishing "that's what there for:thumbsup:

why use a seperate wax for the wheels.....just use what you use for the bodywork!!!!

Not thought of that, but should have thought that as the dodo juice wax says for all colours which is why I bought it as didn't want to use a separate wax on the black on front and exhaust surround

wheels are either painted or coated in laquer so the wax for the bodywork is ample - irrespective of colour

Just spent £17 on a wheel wax that was about size of a lip gloss! Not that I wear lip gloss....

I love snow foam and iron-x  didn't have time to lime prime and wax so went for the route of need for speed and it came up really well, used nearly a full bottle of iron-x thou but you should of seen the purple runs that came off! I was amazed, car is only 9 week old but has 4000 miles of British roads and a number on my route to work are being re surfaced so that must be a reason. No chance to take photos as after finishing the rav4 got a snow foam and rinse and it came up amazing for the effort taken. Will get the wax done over weekend and post some pictures

Seriously consider AS fallout remover, it doesn't have a colour run agent or beading agent but that's the point, it's aimed at pro detailers who don't need to go ohhhh wow purple! They just want a product that works and at an extremely good price.

Will have to try that  I was really surprised at how smooth the paint was before the claying but could still see a difference. Paint thou is quite orange peeled and I've found a few paint defects like there was dust on the car when it was painted. As the car is only 10 weeks old.... would renault do anything about this?

Renault may do something about paint defects

The question is do you really want some time/ cost limited "that'll do for the average joe" bodyshop painting your car ?

If the defects are minor then leave them.

I can pretty much guarantee a bodyshop will make them worse. I wouldn't trust the overwhelming majority of them to paint my garden shed.
