It's crazy when you look at the prices for power.....if you want a 400bhp clio, you'll have to pay 10k+ on the engine and turbo alone....
It would have sold if you actually wanted to sell it, I offered full asking price. :bored:
I bought a Blue 08 plate 197 at end of December instead.

The problem was getting you to view it in December. I was away in NYC from 19th and never heard anything when I returned. No probs.
Tbh I hate selling anything. Tried doing it 'word of mouth' . It's the "its a cat C so I'll give you 3k" or the "fancy swapping it with a.....", then the "I'll take the wheels off you" .No disrespect to anyone but it's hard work. Just want someone to turn up, drive it and make me a offer that I'll refuse!! Lol. I know you never get your money back and all that but the 250 conversion is 6k easy. Cat C or not if your planning to do the conversion, here's mine for another 2.5k not to mention the £400 mapping in that, rare comp Mo's, kW club sport and a load of custom stuff. This is not a car I'll just give away cause I couldn't build it again for what I'm selling it for.

Exactly my thoughts when I was selling mine. It was going whole, a lot of blood, sweat and tears went into getting the car to where it was and no matter how many pm's I got requesting different parts there was no way I was splitting it. These cars are a whole package.
Exactly - its just an attention thing. Oh I might sell it, might not, might sell it might not. Contact me if you want to buy it etc... No real intention to sell it.
I offered to come down and like you said you did say it wasn't a good time - you were going to New York soon and would have to arrange your sisters car to drive around in etc... I don't really care as a buyer - I have money burning in my pocket and I'm impatient - so went and bought the blue car instead.

And that's why it's so strange that after all that money/work/effort/time - ppl keep seeling their Megd Clios. And it's a mystery to me.

Every one has moved on to new projects tho.
Once you've meg'd the clio...what else is to do?

BUT wilson has had his the longest, got to be over 3 years now and he's more than enjoyed it. What is stupid is selling months after you've just had it done like some have done? Might as well burn your money! OR buy something quick in the 1st place.

That's what I'm saying.
These Megged Clios should be real beasts and make their owners smile quite a bit driving it. That's why I can't understand selling the car couple months after the swap...
If I was to do all over again with my car I would Meg it.
If i was to do it all over again i wouldn't of touched it and sold it years ago lol!
Just read the entire thread, great seeing a journey. Love the mods you have done and my favourite touch has to be the signed engine cover, I love things like that!

Ha same.
I'm only selling mine because I loath it. Had it gone smoothly I'd be enjoying it again. Everytime I get it running it breaks.
