Major thanks to James for sorting that. Car was faultless and soaked the miles up with ease

On friday a mate of mine mentioned that his dad and him were doing a Novice taster session at the new Snetterton 300 with clubmsv. For £25 for 20mins i thought i may aswell join them so off we went this morning. Great track, the revised layout with the new infield is great fun and the clio handled so well. 20mins was over way too quickly so need to get me some more track time.

Marks gtv....this thing takes everything they throw at it....unusual for an alfa!

Dont know why the 200 never had xenons, massive fail on Renaults behalf so HIDs were added.

After a bit of reading, I decided it would be worth while rebuilding the Brembos as the pads and pins are prone to seizing in. Im officially in love with the Brembo design, so easy to swap pads in and out (providing they arent seized of course)

Decided it would be rude not to give the wheels a quick spruce up and wax as it was the first time id ever taken them off! Bilberry wheel cleaner has really impressed me!

Picked up the kit Saturday...designed for the new style top mounts. Why anyone at Renault decided to change the design halfway through 2010 i do not know.

Well the HIDs have died, Bulb went this morning on the way to work.

Pair of Philips Diamond visions have been ordered to try out....Hopefully get my radio reception back!!

Bumper off again to remove all wiring but oh well. If i like the bulbs will get matching for the cornering lights, main beam, fogs.

Defo bud.

Couldn't get any radio due to interference and couldn't ever get the beam pattern right....people still flashed even though they were set low. Something to do with the projector unit being built for halogen bulbs...the hid bulb doesn't sit the right distance away from the lense to produce a correctly focus'd beam pattern.

Will be sticking to halogen from now on.

There's definitely a reason why audi etc charge so much for their xenon units. Alot of work goes into getting them right.

Dads new a4 doesn't ever get its main beam used. How they get the dipped beam so focus'd that its way up on the horizon and doesn't blind everyone is way beyond a £140 hid kit you just slap in your standard lights.
