CL10 CYA project

Sean do you have any drawings or pictures of the vacuum line layout? I've searched the Renault workshop manual, and all of the forums but cant find anything. Ive seen that you installed a vacuum manifold, which I might end up doing, but I'm after getting the engine in and running by the weekend.

Yer not much around to be honest
Are you running with the standard boost sensor N75 valve?

This is my drawing
In and ideal world the Westgate should be lime should be pre throttle body but not had chance to get a nipple welded into the boost pipe.
So just going to run how it has done in the past for now but through the manifold

I am in the garage just now if need any pics

Plan to pop mine back in tomorrow so be able to show the plumbing from then

Wee update after a 14,HR shift yesterday and a few hours today

Timing belt - took awhile longer than expected, reckon the timing was out on the inlet side so my mate spent some time checking and adjusting them checking again then checking again - he is not excited to see his timing belt getting put through its paces round KH

Then clutch & box on

And in she went

My mate is Mr Clio so for the next feel hours we battered on like a Renault pit crew, rebuilding, wiring etc together
Great fun amazing what you can get done when everything goes well.

Until we went to turn it over
Bad earth and flat battery
But easily sorted
Cleared all the fault codes, did a few test turn overs and she sprung into life

Will post a few YT vids

So a few outstanding jobs

Air filter - the airtech kit is for the 225 turbo so got some size issues need a reducer with a bend from 3in - 2.5in

Pic for the problem

It won't go into reverse

It originally had a short shift kit on the box
Then the previous owner fitted the zero one
But was never setup
But stumped what to do - trying to find a standard selector

And radiator fan wiring
I am missing the radiator fan resistor
Can't seem to find one for a that I trust is for an RS, I have a jumper wire round it just now

Anyone shed some light??

All these Megane conversions in the past seem to have a problem with cooling fans turning the wrong way and driving the air into the oncoming air canceling out it's effectiveness. Double check the electric water pump apparently it operates after switch off to circulate around the turbo when hot at turn off, stick at it your going well now.1742639869466.png
