Few jobs ticked off tonight
Heat shield.finished. Just hope is does not vibrate once every thing is back in
Block painted up and can finally start getting things bolted back up.
Would anyone happen to know the size of aux belt required? I chucked the old one away before measuring it...
Finally bit the bullet and drilled the holes in the fuel pump cover plate.
I was going to fit grommets etc but this will do for now.
I will secure the plate and lines fully once everything is test ran and no leaks

Spent the day tidying up the inside
Got the last of the gauges, pull cables & fire extinguisher line through the bulkhead

Decided to put the CS seats back in
Get through the MOT then build some confidence miles before ordering up a cage, seat mounts & harnesses etc
The seats are immaculate and I do love them
First seat in the car after 5 months

Going to pop the engine back in the weekend
Sort out all the wiring then pull it back out on the 20th for my mate to do the timing etc
However this is doing my head in
Sheared a flywheel bolt when I pulled the clutch off.
Anyway got in contact with Helix to get the correct bolt size etc
They can supply them
6 bolts & washers - £17 plus VAT - can deal with that
Until they slapped on £18 plus VAT postage
Quizzed the postage cost because I hardly live on Mars
But the woman is not moving on the postage and it is what it is
Disappointed with this, can't see why they can't just put them in a envelope for the sake of 6 bolts

Boost controller however a proper old skool version, I remember using these back in evos 15years ago but if it works it works
There will be a decision to make in the future if I keep the car, then I might go with a stand-alone ECU so boost control might change with that. See what happens

Decided to pop the engine back in today
My mate is coming over on the 20th to do the belts
So this allows me to crack on and sort the wiring out and work my way through all these hoses
So so much work still today

Engine bay getting full now
I also might be missing some parts from the Airtech stuff and don't think the air filter pipe will fit my turbo, it's probably made to fit the standard 225 turbo - oh the joys

Spent a bit more time sorting some wires and hoses out and I have finally got my head round the vac hoses & boost controller
Good news.
everything is plugged back in on the engine side and finally the imbo light has gone out, no need for the jumper cable anymore
