Brakes - Fast road and track set ups...IN HERE.

but what are the advantage of the discs with holes, slotted finsihes?

what makes you decide to spend way more on these discs?

The holes on drilled disks are supposed to help dissipate heat, with grooves there to help de-glaze pads during very hard use and allow any gasses that may be created to escape. All helping to increase brake performance.

For most people the main deciding factor on spending more money on them is looks.

There horrendous mate , I'm not being funny but I deffo would never use them ,

Geez, you sure? here in Hungary, so many people are big fun of them, there is a disc attached below called EBC GD Turbo Groove, ehhh I hate everything which has such a name and colour, if you check, cost nearly 220 GBP:

Hi all!
I'm looking for a "budget" brakes setup for a track. I'm going for Ferodo DS2500 pads all around. Braided lines and TRW fluid. But I can't make my mind regarding front disks. I want to replace OEM with something more suitable for a track, unfortunately I'm unable to spend 500+ for a 330mm disks.
What can I get for around 200-250 that would outperform OEM disks on the track? All inputs are highly appreciated.

I was leaning towards F2000 as description says that it's specifically designed for the track.
I'd really appreciate a comment from someone who actually used them on a track.

can't remember if I've posted in here before but my setup is:

HEL braided lines
Motul RBF 660 fluid
Mintex m1155 pads
i think standard discs

So general consensus seems to be Brembo HC Discs + DS2500 for fast road use? Mine need doing and I don't want to spend £500+ on big brakes XD
