Emma drove the car today for the first time with the new exhaust. She says I'm not getting to drive it anymore as she loves it so much.

Gonna phone Extreme Motorsport tomorrow and see when they can take my for a dyno run to see if its given or taken any power away.

Finally got a wee vid made up of the Akrapovic exhaust. Got Emma to record me coming up the Applecross road earlier on today.

The vid is made up of the same footage shot with 2 different cameras (Didnt know how to shoot video on the Canon at the time so was just to be safe).

I couldn't handle it but I really like the note of the exhaust and the sound from so far away. nice and crisp.

It only sounds like that when driving "excitedly", drive it normally and its no louder than standard :bounce:

They are truly awesome and at this time of year aint too busy, still gotta take it easy though (At some parts) coz you never who whats round the next corner; sheep or deer lol.

Al see what I can do bout the vid (Cant promise though).

Akrapovic are renowned for their motorbike exhausts and have now started to dabble in the car exhaust market. The 200 system (Which also fits the 197) was released 2-3 months ago and from what the early buyers said about build quality etc. I was sold on it. It is expensive but you get what you pay for imo.

Performance gains? Not had it dyno'd since fitting but it certainly feels faster.

checjed before I posted if the evoloution one would fit on a 197 and jamsport have it listed for bith models but k-tec only for the 200. I assume it is the same exhaust and k-tec are a fair bit cheaper though.

It fits but you need to get some clamp on tips for it to fit the 197 diffuser. I believe Jamsport have included these in the price from them. MikeyR27 has it fitted to his with the tips.

I definitely have a soft spot for AG... I would have specced that colour if I had planned on keeping the car after 2 years!

Ktec arnt cheaper mate, where it says which Exhaust to choose from it's set to the cheaper version. Change it to the full kit and watch the price jump!!

Jamsport will sort you out a treat like they did for me. Quality work on mine!! These zausts are worth every penny!!!

Back in the hotel after our 3 day Highlands/West coast roadtrip and have uploaded some pics of our trip so thought I'd stick them up.

Washed the car first thing on Friday morning an took a quick pic at Stirling services before she got all dirty:



We set off through Callander, Crainlarch etc before stopping off for a pee break at the Green Welly services:





Also flyered my first 197 whilst we were there (No pic though).

We then had a decision to make; via Fort William or Oban? Picked to go via Oban as we'd done Fort William last year. Glad we did though as the roads were awesome. Long sweeping bends (Proper RS country). Then met some local wildlife:



Then we came across this big chap in the middle of the road (But he wandered off it before Emma could get the camera out:
