As for the being different, I just think it feels different, power delivery and handling. This could be down to the fact theres so little miles on it though, so time will tell.

While cleaning the car recently I found this mark at the top of the bonnet. I know its not something that I've done as I’m always careful around the car, so I can only think it has been caused by someone thinking they were being smart and trying to put the wipers up.
I’ll have to see if I can touch it in and then maybe sad it down do it doesn’t stand out too much.

Yeap, this is one of the brilliant Renault designs! I reckon every single clio out there has this very exact mark.
Mine didn't when I got it but it does now after a mate decided to play silly games and put the wiper up.

So after the bonnet being scratched by some tosser trying to put the wipers up, I've had to set about touching it in.
First coat
Second coat
Its slowly getting there, next step will be to apply the lacquer. I can't decide if I should sand it down once all this is done to try and blend it in even more. I guess that will just depend on how visible it is after the lacquer is applied.

Over the past month or so things have been pretty quiet on the Clio front,I’ve mainly just been driving and enjoying the car.
I did finish the retouching of the scrape on the bonet by applying the lacquer
I was then trawling through eBay one day and bumped into this and thought it would be a great addition to the car and something handy to keeo in the pocket of the door.
Upon delivery I was over the moon with my latest purchase.
That was until I opened it out to find this.
Thankfully the person I had purchased if from gave me a full refund with no questions asked.
Both clios cleaned and ready to go on the morning of my brothers wedding.
As I said I’ve been driving the car a bit more recently and I had noticed the exhaust getting a bit noisier and starting to pop on most gear changes. Over the past couple of days its been getting particularly loud so I guessed I had a blow out somewhere in the system. Of course reading other posts I was fearing that it was the manifold on the way out, so I took the car into a local exhaust specialist to get a diagnosis, and this is what greated me…
A lovely crack on the first cat. I’m currently undecided as to what I should do, should I fit a KTR MANIFOLD PRE CAT DELETE PIPE, a new stainless steel manifold or just get it welded. I had been playing with the idea of getting the cat taken out anyway so the first two options would take car of that, although I could get it welded and remove the second cat instead.

That's a bit of a pig about the crack isn't it. From what I've seen there's not many stainless manifolds available for the 197/200 is there? And all I hear about the pre cat delete on the 'Y' pipe is that it puts a horrible flat spot in?
Yea I read that too about the Y pipe, thats why I'm tempted to get the cat welded. There seems to be a stainless steel manifold on eBay that I've seen a few people on here using but I'm not 100% convinced with it.
Must be possible for the flat spot to be mapped out though? Not sure. Would like to do it myself really. I saw the manifold on eBay too, seems a bit cheap for one though to me.
My flexis have had it and im taking delivery of my stainless manifold from toyosprts tomorrow. My car is un mapped so I will advise on how it affects driveabilty when its done this week.

As for the cars being on an auto show, they've been neglected a bit lately as I've been up to my eyes with work so I'm sure you wouldn't be saying that if you saw them now lol.

I will do some research on relocation of heko clips. Will let you know if I fond something (sorry for slight hijack!)

So following on from my previous update about the cat having split, the car has been into the garage and had it repaired. I have chosen to leave the second cat in place, as I don’t feel there will be any significant change to warrant taking it out.
When the car was in the garage the mechanic said there was a bit of movement at the bottom of the engine and this might have caused the cat to split, he advised me that I should think about purchasing an ENGINE TORQUE LINK. So I went hunting online for the best deal and I found it at Spoox.
Hopefully I'll get it fitted in the next week or two.
If only the golf had have been as good as the car looked I’d have been happy.

bit more vibration/noise when cold but once warm its not bad you also feel the starter turning the engine over more as such as well - after a few days you end up not noticing it
its also easy to change - just need a big bar to undue the centre bolt as its quite tight
Ah thats not too bad then. Yes the mechanic said to be about 20 mins should do it.
