Sorry for not getting back on here sooner but worked a few Saturdays at work meaning I didn’t have much chance to get on to fitting the new rad.
So I had hoped for a straight simple rad figment however it seems this is not the case if you have the Airtec intercooler. This is a bit of a pain as it meant grinding off the bottom mount from my new and expensive rad so as it can hopefully be welded on in reverse.
For now I have fitted the radiator with only the top mounts as I nearly put a hole in my intercooler forgetting I had to grind off my lower rad mount before, with my old rad this wasn’t an issue as I simply drilled a hole in the front cross member and then mounted the rubber into this hole, but with this rad that can’t be done as it’s much taller and would sit too far back due to the design.
It is very well made but I’d guess the Airtec intercooler is smaller than mine meaning the lower mount does not get in the way.
The front plastic cowl does need some trimming but not much see below.
If you have the same intercooler as me you will have had to trim slightly for pipes anyway.
I also had to lengthen my oil cooler pipes so these are now black and I will need to alter one pipe to a straight fitting not the 90
One of the expansion pipes needs to be a thicker item to suit the radiator so I will need to order some larger pipe.
So it’s not a simple fit but it isn’t impossible just needs some thinking.
