Yeah, i get similar MPG figures to my old Clio 200. So for 320bhp and RWD its amazing. If anyone fancies one, i can put you in touch with a dealer doing fantastic deals, around 18% discount.

Thanks all. Performance is blistering. Its the Sport Auto, so 0-60 in about 4.6s (book figures are slightly higher, but tests have proven its faster). MPG isnt too bad. You can relax on the motorway in eco pro mode at 40+mpg. A week ago i took it for a 270 mile blast through the Welsh mountains...

Each to their own. This is my 3rd DSG car and I love it. A DSG remap will help at a later stage. However, want a Polo GTI as I did, you have to have DSG. As you do with a Fabia vRS and Ibiza Cupra/Boc or an Audi A1 1.4 S-line.

Ive been spending too much money on this car. So far: Replaced RCD510 stereo with RNS510 Sat Nav. Got some 30/45 H&R Springs. Got a nice alloy dead pedal to fit. Full Porsche front brake setup, including:- Boxster front calipers refurbished in white, 312mm TT front discs, HEL lines...

Its the wrong side of £25k now though. No doubt, its a great car with phenom handling. But a Rocco R is so much more appealing at that price point.

Mk5 and Mk6 are also basically the same car. Same chassis, just some minor tweaks. Mk6 is a facelift basically. The Mk5 GTI was the best GTI since the Mk2 GTI 16v.

Even with the DSG servicing, it adds about £150 to a service. So its not too bad. But this one doesnt suffer the same problems. Its under warranty anyway, if i break the DSG it will be fixed. :) 7 gears makes for efficient driving. Got 35mpg on the way back from the dealership in stop/start...

Servicing costs arent horrific. Not with the mileage i do. Only the wet DSG gearbox used in the Golf etc needs 40k servicing. This will just need normal servicing like any car. I'll probably get it serviced somewhere else, apart from the VW dealer anyway. Cost was £16,495, it has covered 5k...

Cheers guys. I absolutely love it. Its the car i wanted before i got the 200. Due to delays with the order, its the reason we cancelled and tried something different. Im glad we did though, as i did enjoy the 200, but this is the car i always wanted. So im really chuffed to have it at last. :D
