I've had a 197 cup, 197ff and currently in a £2000 172 cup. It's definatly a much more fun to drive and miles better on fuel (excuse the pun) I get 40mpg easily! The only downside is its more of a 'young lads car'

I'm tempted to buy another 197. Does anyone know anything about this car? I've had a quick flick through R27 register but can't see it. Any help would be good! cheers

I had these wheels on my black 197, it was exactly the same as yours! I lowered it on H&R springs and it looked a million times better :) I don't have any pics as I'm away from home.

I was thinking the same thing Henderson, how can spacers make any difference under breaking? Even if the axels were a foot wider at either side I just can't see it? maybe it's the extra weight your carrying as you break!?

Yeah definately! when mine went renault wanted £750 + VAT just to supply the manifold! at the time there were no after market ones available so my car was off the road until i found a 2nd hand one, iirc i paid £250 for that!
