    Lewis's RB Clio 197

Funnily enough I've got loads of car cleaning stuff and barely anything to wash it with! 0 microfibres left and 1 wash mitt [emoji23] Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk

    Lewis's RB Clio 197

Got my oem silver door bullets through the post yesterday, chucked them on, on my lunch break (working from home has its perks) Cleaned the Clio today, and gave it a going over with some autoglym super resin polish. Comes up quite well! First wash since August too. Sent from my ONEPLUS...

    Lewis's RB Clio 197

Few bits I've been putting off doing for ages mate! I look forward to finally getting it all done. It looks fairly straightforward, I found a pdf for the Clio 3 online with all torque specs etc. The only thing you really need to take off is the brace underneath and rad support, but it's just...

    Lewis's RB Clio 197

Bought some more parts to smash out some Jobs while being grounded by Boris; - Sump gasket - Oil service kit - Crankshaft pulley bolt - dipstick (hate the orange one so this one I can actually see my oil level) A while back I also bought a cup racer belt guard to sit behind the bottom...

    Help needed

It could be that the shifter cables aren't fully seated, I had this where one of them was loose I was struggling to get out of gear sometimes Clutch could need bleeding again Gearbox oil could play a part but I don't know whether it would mean you need to force it in! Sent from my ONEPLUS...

    Pure Motorsport exhaust

I know of a guy who's running a ktec manifold with the rest being PMS (can't imagine sound changing too much between manifolds) & he said it is loud. But he said he got 89db static at Combe and Donny, so it passed track limits But it's meant to be quite boomy/droney Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010...

    Lewis's RB Clio 197

Sticking with the full "OEM+" look, I picked up some chrome/silver diffuser tips to replace the black ones to go with the silver badges. Much much happier with the look! Not sure if i mentioned it previously too, but I had pulled off the window tints a while back, even before the track day...

My First Renault - Clio 197 Weekend/Track Toy Project

Seen quite a few people doing the same thing as the cup cars do it too! It's an easy way of getting the rusty bits off if and like you say, saves a fair chunk of weight to be fair Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk

My First Renault - Clio 197 Weekend/Track Toy Project

That's good to hear that it hasn't gone bang! [emoji23][emoji23] Should be even easier on mine! I have cut the legs off of my rad support so it should be a case of getting straight to the bolts, maybe the lower brace to remove? Yeah I'd buy a new rubber gasket for it! Luckily I've got all the...

My First Renault - Clio 197 Weekend/Track Toy Project

How simple was it to do the sump gasket? Needed to do mine for a while and I think I'm going to drop my oil after my next trackday so I'll do the sump then! Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk

It's really good stuff and very smooth I just don't think it stands up to long spirited driving! Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk

    Lewis's RB Clio 197

During the trackday I noticed a couple times mid session it would be difficult to find a gear, mostly second when downshifting. After a bit of research it turned out a couple others had found this with 75w80 redline MTL and they'd found Castrol syntrans 75w90 to be a lot better. I also thought...

    Daily car needs comfortable suspension

They just dampen bumps better. I went from cup shocks & H&R springs to B14'S and the dampening is far far better. But they're still quite stiff for the roads It's all tolerance levels though, everyone will find it different! I quite happily drive mine around polybushed and on B14'S, all engine...

The C3 washer jets is something I've been meaning to do for ages now! The standard ones are absolutely useless. They barely even touch the screen in my case Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk

    Lewis's RB Clio 197

Yeah I thought it was really good! Seen a few people say it's boring and I can't see how!? Yes it's flat but it has so many different types of turns etc. Plus like you say, so much run off its not that scary to push on I'll be going back for sure. Hopefully on a dry day

    Lewis's RB Clio 197

Update: (Quite possibly the most exciting) Bedford Autodrome 24/02! (Finally!) did my first track day in the clio and it was absolutely mega! Extremely wet in the morning, loads of standing water everywhere, very drizzly and overall just really greasy conditions, didn't feel like it was going...
