I haven't driven a GR but I was no where near one at Cadwell a couple of years ago, however, I'm a novice when it comes to track. I think people underestimate the fun factor of the Clio, despite being a slowish car by modern standards.

Any tips for removing the sound deadening?

I brought the full kit from Volantech, the clips are wired on the button panel. Bit fiddly passing the wires through the boss though.

I've got a gravity cat back with standard cat and manifold, it's not overly loud, and does make a few nice sounds on gear changes, but it does drone at motorway speeds. It will be for sale soon if you're interested.

I do feel like mine was slower once I went from standard to KTR, I did have a brand new ITG panel filter in too. I'm tempted to go back to standard but it sounds really good and does a few HP really make that much difference?
