MarcB's LY Clio 197 F1 R27

Hi what was up with the brake lines?

The rear line that goes along the beam could have done with being about an inch longer.

The fronts could have done with a kink in them as the first picture below rather than just being straight into the bango bolt like the second picture below

We make them to hel specs they did get changed on our system and not had anyone else have issues.

We are all about having the best products so would love to get this sorted for you

@R27WTF i have sent you a direct PM regarding this.

These look similar to the old spec which hel changed. As we have to make them to hel spec to keep the lifetime warranty.

We can make any size length and fitting you like.

@R27WTF Once again matt I have sent another PM regarding this.
If you can have a look when you are in the office and get back to me that would be good.

Thanks

Cracking read, lovely work mate.

When it came to fitting the the brake lines on the rear beam. Did you have issues with getting them spring clips to sit right? - i can't get mine taught, yeah sit really loose.

thanks. Tom

Him @Tom Baynes I believe Renault have changed the spring clips but as I have spent over £130 on clips both metal and plastic I made sure everything was there incase of anything that snapped.

This is how Renault used to supply them.

They have now changed to this style

So one thing that has been doing my head in over my whole ownership of the Clio was the very bad rusty wheel bolts.
The 19mm bolts have been sh1te since day one so while washing the car I pulled out the big guns and fitted my TPI wheel bolts.

So been a few updates as of late and some items in the pipe line.

So I started off with a seatbelt change, To make it 100 times easier I thought about stripping the rear end out and then it shows how bad the seat belts are actually are.

IMG_1742.JPGIMG_1743.JPG

So once I decided on a colour which was "Bright" yellow away my spare belts went to Kolor Koncept (https://www.kolourkoncept.co.uk)
Got them back very very quick and at an amazing price also.

So once I got them I went to go and fit them but came across a problem which was the connectors, I believe there is a choice of two and some of the late 197's and 200's came with the bigger one as pictured.

IMG_1739.JPGIMG_1740.JPG

So I now had to cut my white connector off my original belts on the left get it on to the new yellow belts on the right.

Some wire work and at my local garage to make sure it was all done correctly and properly heat wrapped and things.

While the rear was stripped out and with it being so warm I have also decided to clean the rear door cards and also under all the seats and things.

IMG_1782.JPG

While I was also at it I decided to pop the rear lights out and clean all them.

IMG_1783.JPGIMG_1784.JPG

I also stripped all the scuttle panel and the wiper linkage out and clean all that, I don't have any pictures but spend around an hour on it and then bolt it all back up.

Just waiting on some rear speakers arriving and door cards to dry and I will start to build it all back together.

Just been on there website but couldnt see a price for the seat belts being re-webbed, how much was it please.

Priced per belt.
