Rigid collar mod as seen on Masa's thread

Cost price!? For that to be cost price they would need to be machined accurate to a couple of microns which I almost guarantee they're not

perhaps they are made from "unobtainium" a very rare metal indeed :coffee:

I need to make sure this is for a full front and rear set.
We shall see 8)

Theres no denying they help things Pez, my problem however is justifying the ridiculous price tag associated with them when there are so many other areas on the car that would also benefit from that money.

Im sure if i won the lottery then i wouldnt think twice about it but unfortunately we arent all on supercar budgets lol.

These guys did rigid collars on my clio !!
I also did them on my VW Eos front subframe the other day, but I couldnt feel such changes as clio.

True.

But, then again maybe it will work better on some cars than others due to the tolerances making every car different.

If you look one post above - that's so true. Was thinking about the same thing.

Also no doubt depends on how well the subframe was aligned when the bolts were tightened, very much a hit and miss 'problem' in which some cars see greater benefits than others

Their customer service is so poor that even if i was stupid enough to waste that amount of money with them, im not anymore.

Sorry to dig up this old thread but the topic of rigid collars just came up in the German community again.

Are there any new infos or is there any feedback concerning these parts? Any conclusions if they're making a noticable difference now? Did somebody got them fabricated himself or are there other sources available by now?

At the moment you can get a complete set (front/rear) for 400,- € and get 10% of if you buy both.

If someone had a set I could certainly get these made via AS Performance at a fraction of the price.

Why don't someone start a group buy, then if there's enough interest, the group can split the cost of the first set to use as a template.

Ah I’ve not long fitted a set and would have let you have a look at them. They’ll be all squashed into the sub frames now so I guess they’ll not be much use to copy???

Anybody who’s interested I found them a fair bit cheaper from a company called blackhawkjapan.

orderd mine from blackhawkjapan, with customs charges actually same price as rigidcollar.eu

Btw this is a must have upgrade. Will be doing this to all my cars in the future.

When I ordered them it would have been about £380 for both sets from rigid collar and £250 from Blackhawk plus I got stung for about £50/60 at customs.

I agree that they do improve the ride and they do what they claim. I’m still undecided as to if they’re worth the money though.....

Never in a million years worth that but agree it is a good idea. The Whiteline rear subframe locking bolts for the Impreza are around £40 ish

I don't care about money...:seanprincess:

But seriously, an upgraded without downsides is worth a lot to me. For instance, lot's of people think the akrapovic exhaust is to expensive, and I agree it is expensive BUT you get the quality you pay for and it's far superior to the OE renault or other aftermarket stuff and in that respect it adds value to the car and a sense of quality and that's why i have no problem putting up with such price tags. This is also the case for the quaife LSD.
