Tractor Boy

Some carbon badges and sill plates would go down a treat! Must admit I was sceptical of the wheel colour but they really do look great.

You need to see the wheels in the flesh and in the sun for the full effect. Was a big jump into the unknown but SO glad she went for it.

As for the badges and sills, OEM spec only! Same for the b-pillar wrap.

Thanks Pav mate.

Mrs M and I were having a smoke before we set off to come home last night and we were stood there looking at it and we both agreed how modern it still looks. The only thing for me that really sets it apart from modern cars is the lights. Technology in lighting has developed massively since 2007!

But yeah, totally agree, they still look new and awesome to me. Best shaped hot hatch ever I think, closely followed by the new Fiesta ST.

Bloody love this car. Honestly, the only thing I'd like from the driving side is more power. Another 50bhp and I'd be a very happy bunny!

agree...maybe a new astra style front head lamps would suit it well..
was talking to our secretary the other day and she said and i quote her "you drive JUST a clio"..i let her off since she doens't really understand cars t0108.gif

wouldn't say no if im honest :sunglasses:

Even more reason.

Get the car properly warmed up first. Get her in the passenger seat...

"You ready?"

FULL BEANS right from the off. Scare the life out of her. ESPECIALLY under braking.

She'll either be putty in your hands or she'll never speak to you again. Either way, she'll always have the full respect she should have for our "crappy little French hatchback"

Car looks brilliant Mes! Really is such a great looking car especially with all the subtle mods.

100% agree with how modern they still look, even at the side of today's modern cars they still look like they fit in and arent out of place at all.

Look forward to more photos!

Matt, thanks so much mate. Appreciate the kind words.

And yep, as I said further up in here, the only thing that dates them is the lights. Everything else still looks fresh as a daisy.

The steering is the only thing that lets them down in my opinion. It's a bit lifeless. Everything else is bloody amazing. Especially when you think how cheap you can get them for these days.

Lifeless compared to what Mes ?

Cars in its peer group; or some more serious metal you’ve owned / driven / currently have at your reside.

Which to be fair ‘we’ shouldn’t be comparing against. Should we ?
