Really sorry to hear you had a fail on the MOT buddy :worried: Are you happy with the quote, or are you going to shop around?

Cheers mate,
Going to look around... I've had a look on Kam racing and they've got a pair for £140 so I might ring MVS Daytona and see if they'll offer a fitting quote.

Going to look around... I've had a look on Kam racing and they've got a pair for £70 so I might ring MVS Daytona and see if they'll offer a fitting quote.

That sounds a good price for the parts.... so I wouldn't have thought MVS (or any garage for that matter!) would charge £400 for fitting them! Best of luck with it, Chris.

Balls mate. Sorry to read this. Quite the bill to have come out of nowhere too. However, try and look on the bright side, it will feel LOADS better when done.

Bad news mate. At least on the plus side you'll have new shocks in and may feel an improvement...

Seems likes it's going to cost about £400 to get her fixed...

Tax due too at end of month, looks like it'll be an expensive one

Could be worse mate, always got to look at it like that. Just have a browse round here and you can see much bigger bills than that! Unfortunately doesnt really help though as £400 still a lot of cash!

You'll come out of it feeling like the cars stronger on the bright side.

10% off this weekend at KTEC racing with 'BIRTHDAY' if that's any help?

You can get the 200 cup dampers from renaultpartsdirect for around £136 and use the site code for free delivery - ".netfree" I think it is, if confirm that first if I were you. I replaced my standard 197 shocks with them a few weeks ago and the improvement is incredible!

That's where I got them from in the end.. sadly I didn't use a code but got them for £130 can't complain.

The car is a cup model so makes sense to get cup dampeners

Been quoted £250 for labour to change the shocks as sadly I don't have to tools nor skills to undertake such a task ..

It's a pretty basic job for ANY garage, as you have the shocks, the original quote means over £300 for labour! That's ridiculous tbh!

Sorry just seen the above, £250 is still silly money in my book

It's because you have to drop the subframe, hence the price! Sorry to hear the bad news bud!
