Sean's 197T - RIP Albi :(

hard decisions i believe..think going for a remap from rst is always the safest option..its done to suit your car and internals...may be more expensive though..
nice parts there Sean..like the cover..how much was it???

£40 from eBay

Painted the dash trims and engine cover. Trims just need lacquer now, but engine cover still needs another few coats of paint then lacquer to complete. Really impressed with the paint, it's a great match with good even coverage for a mixed rattle can.

Also trialled the Turbo Gauge (Scan Gauge copy). Works fine, and happy with placement. I'll try it placed there for a little while, but I still think that long-term I'll go for some Tim or Stack coolant temp and oil temp gauges in a pod mounted in the cup holder.

It is albi blue, for some reason the French call it Monaco blue.

Just booked an all-day open pit lane track day at Spa in April. So, I'll need to get my finger out and get some prep done.
With that in mind, the following will be done between now and the end of March:

Second bonnet with inlet vent and louvres for heat dissipation
Better intercooler - undecided between Mishimoto and Forge universal at the moment.
Remap
Custom radiator - same height as Clio rad but thicker and slightly longer like the Megane rad
Better brake pads - probably some ds2500 but open to suggestions
Smaller battery and relocated air filter, perhaps with a custom-built airbox, or have a look and see what there is off-the-shelf
Engine Dynamics cooler thermostat
Also looking into waterless coolant, seems to work well with older classic cars. Heat isn't too much of an issue except when in traffic at which point coolant temp levels can rise towards 100degrees pretty quickly.

Going to be a busy, not to mention expensive, few months!

Who did you book spa with? I'm looking at going between 9-17th.

http://circuit-days.co.uk/spa-francorchamps-view-event-28 - Bloody good deal considering it's all day, and open pit-lane. Spa themselves offer public days, but you only get 4 25min slots, so this was a no-brainer.

You've also just reminded me that I want/need adjustable top mounts too. So more money! I've also seen these online - https://www.tyreleader.co.uk/car-tyres/kumho/ecsta-xs-ku36/215-45-r17-87w-46069

will check this out too..a few expensive monts are coming your way..hope all goes well Sean..think i need to make my mind up regarding the conversion..

Shame I can't make that date or I would have been on it!

@Pav I've spoken to Sean about the top mounts as a group buy for forum members. I'll get something sorted.

Sean I will be doing Spa in April as well mate, haven't booked it yet but will be in the next few weeks (unless things go super south lol)
