Just wondering if many members on here have fitted single exit exhaust. Does anyone know of any gains or losses dues to increased back pressure? I guess the noise would be mental?
The R3 cars run single exit with a sideways mounted rear silencer. So the exit is on the right hand side of the car. The Oreca system has a longitudinal silencer and it exits on the left hand side of the car (looking at the car from the rear).
In terms of back pressure etc., that's more to do with the make up of the silencers rather than the number of outlets. I can't see any reason why they'd be detrimental over a twin exit system. I'll be making my own version at some point hopefully.
Do you recon an exhaust shop e.g powerflow could modify a miltek twin system into a single system, miltek systems branch off into two separate back boxes so in theory I guess you could just cut the y pipe were it branches off and weld a single pipe in its place, obviously new mounts would need to be fitted. Just an idea?
Thats mine, and you cant really tell driving wise of any gain, but there if defiantly no loss! plaining on taking it to jamsport in october so can tell you then if you havnt already found out!
And the ones sold on the Oreca site mate ^ are Group N rally exhausts, when buying mine off k-tec they said oreca use them as a dealer for the race exhaust i have and they sell but dont have it on there website
