Been to the dealers this morning, going back tomorrow to put a deposit on a brand new mk7 golf gtd estate. Test drove the hatchback and really liked it.
Happy compromise, it's economical and spacious whilst being great to drive with 180ish bhp and 280 lb ft torque. Worked out cheaper buying this one as it's pre-registered 17-plate with 10 miles on it so got 9k off the book price lol private plate is going on it anyway so I don't give a shit!

Sweet I do like the GTD although maybe not the seat pattern.

We have a Mk6 1.6 and it's a good solid car. Has the emissions problem but just leaving it - the fix has ruined a lot of cars.
