Knocking - Front Drivers Side

Afternoon All,

I have an issue where a knocking sound has developed on the front drivers side. It seems to be when the car suddenly moves/jerks at slow speeds, e.g. the cold engine kangaroo, speed bumps, releasing the clutch quickly or going up a small slope onto my drive way. Also there is sometimes a click when putting full lock on, this is intermittent though.


I have replaced the engine mounts for Powerflex and also the hub carriers/ball joints have been replaced but this has not resolved the issue.

Any suggestions/advice on what else to check?

Common occurrence it seems. Try a search on here as read a lot about this already.

There are a few threads about knocking and clunking noises, so as above have a browse through the Suspension forum as there will be a few ideas in there. Has it been up on a ramp and checked over?

Getting it on the ramps this weekend to give it a proper check.

Issue has turned out to be the steering rack.
