Chris's LY 200t.

Always good to get some good maintenance done mate. I always feel like my car is happy with me afterwards

My advice having done this many times on many cars, save until you can afford exhaust, induction and mapping. Save hard go big is always my motto. Means you don't mod often, but when you do... it's like a new car. Doing bits incrementally is still cool but you don't feel as much benefit. But fair play, you will REALLY notice the map whatever.

Cheers for the advice mate appreciate that!

I mean I could do it on a lesser budget... decat and middle silencer gone then just induction kit... as you don't really notice too much with an exhaust.

And I have seen gains with just adding an itg to a mapped car and not even needing it included...

Hence torn lol.

Good that they're now sorted, especially if old ones were fooked

I'd say save up and get everything done, the last thing you want to do is get a remap and then a few months later get an exhaust and have to remap again.

All or nothing as they say! :drunk:

As @///M says, I would save and do it all in one go. You'll notice the difference more rather than doing it in increments, and you'll fall in love with the car all over again.

Ha would you know anything about that mate?

Just the small matter of adding almost a third as much power on top yeah?

Go big or don't bother mate. Your car is far too nice for half measures.

Cheers pal.

Tbh at one point when I knew akrapovic was developing for the 200t I was going to save for that, but guys who have them on the new phase 200t say it's not worth the money...

If it's was N/A I'd be doing an exhaust but really don't think it's needed...

Even if you just decide to get a remap, thanks to your turbo you're going to see a dramatic difference so doesn't really matter what else you decide to do

What gains can you expect from a remap on a 200t anyway? Like 25bhp?

Turbo car mate. What can you do. Now I'm saying it, clearly I was thinking from an NA perspective. Just get the remap! What's phase one, like 35 bhp or something? That must be very tempting.

Yeah it takes it up 30bhp and 100lbft.

Think its about £400-500 at RST.

Then another £200 for induction... £400-500 for exhaust also, but as I said dont think ill be doing the exhaust.

Less than a grand for 25 ponies and 100 pounds of torque.

N/A guys dream of those numbers

Well actually for them numbers its just a remap.

All of the above your more but then your also looking into intercoolers etc... hence why I'm a bit torn... When it gets closer to me actually doing it ill be speaking to RST.

Yeah... there is no replacement for them 197 & 200, I think Reno took a big leap on the 200t, its now turbo'd so any additional horses are pretty easy to attain. Map'd and you all sorted.

Well wouldn't go that for to say it doesn't replace them, it's better in many ways. I just really loved my 197!
