I do like the AC tho :worried:

Was that including rear seats?

I’d basically want it to look ‘normal’ at eye level (dash) facing forwars but everything else can go. Might make road driving.. less fun. Airpods on noise cancelling..

Mine has the glovebox removed, centre console is gone, all A pillar plastics and headlining is gone. Only reason the lower dash on the drivers side is still there is because I can't be arsed to make something to relocate the traction control switch. Everything behind the drivers seat is gone bar the cage.

There's a lot I could still remove, loads of random brackets and sound deadening as I haven't taken any of that out either. That might be a job for next weekend as I keep toying with doing it.

Mine is 1219kg with 5/8ths of a tank, full weld in cage with additional roof diagonal (I like symmetry). Airbags out, full strip and paint, carbon door cards, carbon Kevlar seats, ultraleggeras.

Guess that extra comes from the cage. 1200kg seems a good number for 200hp. Even nicer with 240hp

I wish it was a bit lighter, but I don’t want to completely hack it to bits and ruin what’s left of any comfort or looks.

Does anyone know how much weight exists in the interior trim (i’m currently lacking rear seats but have a rear cage), would like to know the value or losing all plastic trim/carpets/centre console/padding etc.

Likewise - anyone tried ITG ITBs on standard engine before

I have done it, happy to help with any questions you might have. I have the PMS Jenvey ITBS on a stock block. Other (engine mods) mods, PMS exhaust manifold, Akra exhaust, SCS Delta standalone ECU.

Don't ask me how much I spent, the man maths don't add up, but that is what happens when you grow up watching best of motoring and dreaming of an ITB car at some point in my life.

would love to do something like that on https://www.engine-dynamics.com/Products/Product.asp?departmentid=110&id=105828

problem being for that money i could buy an E92 M3 track toy

Just get out and do some track days in your Clio before dreaming about spending mega money on ITBs or a race engine.

Are you coming to Cadwell Park on 8th April 2024?

Been a terrible showing by me this year (excuses, excuses... barely done anything car related sadly), wondering if i can pull it back and get some time in before winter. Still got a pile of mods to finish, so might just use the GT3 and set the clio up for a long winter of upgrades.

Meanwhile, acquired this and have been bumbling around Europe for June and July:

keen to try it on track.

anything i should sign up for?

Sadly the GT3 is now departing the stable, it has me looking at the clio. I have a few things to do to it (largely cosmetic, and just another time based service), but i'm wondering whether to keep it in the long term where garage space is going to be restricted and i have my eye on something Speciale to replace it.

I'm about to start construction on a garage, so i need it off the driveway, but storing it somewhere will be problematic - so i'm wondering what it might be worth to someone. If anyone has any interest, drop me a PM.

If no interest, i'l be going for a winter service, get some side skirts fitted, and a full paint correction. There it shall stay until the new year for some brands hatch fun (or maybe it becomes a rally car?!)

Ok - renewed effort to get it back alive and running.

Having had it sat for too long, but with a charge + jump pack being able to get it running again - i thought, optimistically, i'd swap for a fresh battery, get it MOT'd/taxed and service it before snetterton on 13th (where it previously lunched an engine... confront it's demons head on and all that), and give a friend an opportunity to try it out for track use.

I swapped the battery, and despite what i think is a threaded battery hold-down clamp bolt (how the fuck you are meant to access/fit these anyway, nevermind fix it if it is threaded..?!?!), and despite the battery box being a fucking nightmare to work around, i've flipped the battery in and hooked her up.

hit ignition, turns over once, fails. now wont turn over at all (it's not even trying). ignition on just results in an electrical whining noise behind battery/engine (firewall area?), but no radio or dash lights anymore, despite the battery having a charge. jump pack made no difference, somewhat obviously as it's not a dead battery issue. ive had it on trickle charge to ensure it's fully charged but again not sure this is really the issue. seems like ecu/electrical/something.

my local car shop/mot place is going to have a look, but they're not renault guys and i don't hold out much faith. i think they'll just tow it back to theirs, get stuck and waste 3-4 days whilst i could probably solve it with some useful insight.

any ideas what it could be?

obviously rejigging the battery box to get a battery in means i could have knocked something in the various battery-box-attached-ecu-etc-connectors, or the immobiliser is dead, or something?

i noted i can turn hazards on, but not headlights, and nothing i do brings up dash/radio/etc lights/instrumentation.
it will lock/unlock on the remote.
