I'll be 100% honest - when i first saw the white wheels on you car; it was from a dead-on side shot i think and i wasnt overly keen. Infact i then looked back at previous pics of your car and was convinced i thought the car suited my eye better when the wheels were black.

I take that all back with this picture you've now posted.

THAT is quite simply STUNNING and perhaps im now on your wavelength. Quite frankly that is now Clio-porn

Will be interesting to hear the spin on the disc too. Do they openly advertise them as being Road and Track discs ? That likely to be a path they might follow........?

They are renowned for pick up if they over heat... Bang something like an RS29 and they will usually clean em up if it's pick up. See what Ktec say I guess!

So not too much going on at the moment.. Car was due an MOT which is of course passed with ease After the MOT I went for a drive to meet someone who wanted to swap the rear lights with me as I was wanting to change back to the originals because of the "cup racer look" >.<

So back the the warped discs from k tec... Today I headed up to BeanieSport to put the car on the ramp and check the discs. When removing the front wheels we were greeted with 2 lovely snapped Direnza spacers.. Would probably explain the steering wheel juddering I've been getting the last few drives... I've contacted Jap parts who I purchased them through with a seriously moody email because they clearly aren't built well enough. Now need to order some 19mm spacers which will then give me the excuse to get adjustable top mounts and camber the front in. We then continued to check the brakes and the discs are slightly warped. Not badly but bad enough to cause a problem and then checked the pads were releasing ok which they are. Will shortly be ordering new discs and think i'm just going to go for some high carbon Brembo's as I know they're decent discs & can't exactly afford 2pc discs or anything like that for now. Quite looking forward to hearing what K-tec think about the discs. Really hope they don't try to mess me about too much! Here's a pic of the spacers...




So for now the cars tucked away in the garage looking silly with no spacers.. Seriously just want to get the brakes/camber/spacers thing all sorted but guess this is part of the fun >.<

Yep, for sure. 19mm spacers then camber the front and hopefully that will work well!

New spacers arrived today from k-tec as they had them in stock so decided to use them.. they put 3 spacers in 1 box then 1 spacer in with 20 loose bolts. The bolts have put a load of nice marks and scratches in the spacer that had the bolt chucked in with it and then I check my receipt and they didn't give me 5% discount for being a paid member even though I gave my forum name over the phone and my "discount would be sorted" lol.. Top guys!

Aren't simple cock-ups like this - that are so easy avoidable with just a little thought, care and attention - becoming more common in life ?

Its enough to make your pull your teeth out.

Seems so doesn't it. I've emailed them to let them know I didn't get my discount and also sent a few pictures of the spacer just to say maybe they should try packing them a little better for their future sales. What they'll do about it will be seen tomorrow if I get a reply.. I know it's only a spacer but I don't expect to pay £145 for "new" spacers which arrive looking second hand. Shame!
