Picked the gearbox up earlier after a full check and rebuild. It's had new uprated synchro too so hopefully that will help things a little. I've also given it a good clean and paint. Looks quite a bit better. I'm just waiting on all the parts to arrive now before I can drop everything back in.

Yes mate. Sticking with the Clio box for the build. I've had to upgrade the clutch and cover for Helix parts to cope with the additional torque and have a new TTV lightened steel flywheel on order too. As soon as they're here I'll be able to get the whole thing back in pretty quickly.

just had a look at their site. they even have a flywheel on offer of only 2.5KG! :shocked:
This morning I finally managed to get the ARB poly bushes fitted and while I'm waiting for parts I've also just shot blast the alloy gearbox mount bracket and also shot blast and painted the rusty ECU mount. It looks so much better than it did.

Looks great. Is that shot blaster a diy job or something you've got at work?
I have my own mate. I used to do a lot with classic cars so it was a no brainer. Makes alloy parts look like new which is great. I also treat anything with an anti corrosion before painting to help a little.
