Hi chaps.

Want to purchase a torque wrench but not too clued up. Primarily going to be used for changing wheels.
1/2” drive looks the way forward.
Anyone recommend me something?
Don’t want budget or top end products though!
Thanks in advance

I'd personally buy something branded, I only happened upon mine by accident. It was £35 at the time so has gone up slightly.
Only reason I say that is I know it's been calibrated properly.

Personally, i would think twice before buying 18£ torque wrench.
Okay, if only job is torque wheel bolts maybe then it will be fine..

I have :

Biltema 1/2" 40-250nm
Proxxon 1/4" 4-36nm

Those were something like 50-80£ / each and shipped with calibrating papers.

I'm sure there are fantastic for a mechanic like yourself but as you said, Ben is just changing wheels here lol.

Another vote for the Laser Tools 1/2" torque wrench from me. I picked mine up from Toolstation when it was on offer for about £28. Awesome bit of kit, came in a moulded case too with a certificate of calibration too.
I'm using one of these for the past 18 months, like you say comes with a case and cal cert. Regularly check it with my friends more expensive and calibrated torque wrench to make sure it's still close enough to what I need it to be.
