Should ill change my termostat to the 197/200 one or go for 172./82? Seems like some people go for 172/182 why?whats the benefits of this over the 197/200
 
Mine is on the 2 line on highways and on 3 /half at standing/hard driving .
I think is not working properly.. Looks like it working cold

Mine just stays on Quarter when warmed up on long roads, hits half when I'm in traffic.

Should be like that really.
 
Doesnt move from half or 2 line? Cuz if mine and kuz are good then you might damage your engine without the right thermostat( maybe it disgned to run cold/hot sometimes)and not always on half

now with the 182 thermo. the needle doesnt move at all once warmed up

Take it to 100mph then lift off your throttle and put it in neutral. It should drop rapidly to quarter. Do this safely of course on a long road.

I would stick to the 197/200 one, the thing is if RUK wanted to fit the 1*2 one they could have at no extra cost, there is a reason they went for a slightly higher temperature one.

2 after pushing harder it gets to75-90

3 at standing( for 10 mins) and keept driving in town 3 line+(80-90)

4 at highways maximum 66 never get higher

Do you think is ok? It barely past the6x when i first drove it went to65 and dropped to58( second line)
The outside temp was 11celcius
the car started today after a week off...if its matter

The hottest looks ok almost half(85-90degrees) is good the thing that scary me is the coldest whice is almost quarter(second line)! And on long journeys the temp is only there, engine runing cold
Also the needle(temp on obd) is unstable (2line-half ,65degrees-90) something is realy weird

Nice results. Because the thermo opens earlier you get the drop on highway traffic. I ran obd tests with the 182 thermo and the temp stays between 85 and 90 in all conditions. Never tried on track though
 
Something went wrong ,as far as i know the thermo here is75c deg,whice means=get to75 and fan work( wont get any lower than 75) and mine @highways is 65-66 most of the time.. [emoji15] [emoji15]

Spot on mate.

I use long roads, so my temp usually stays on quarter.
 
Well maybe you all right and is working perfectly and in right temps.. But i think ill change the thermo anyway at cambelt service cuz the 65 temp realy bother me . its 75c deg thermostat *angry
It doesnt suppose to run any lower than the opening temp(75)
