Tapping noise coming from the cam belt

recently my 200's started making a metallic sort of ticking noise from the cam belt area

ive done some searching and it seems to be something to do with the tensioners hitting their stops?
it only does it when warm and and been at idle for a while, its booked in at the garage to be looked at next tuesday but i need to use the car for work.
is it safe to drive?

Could be the tensioner, but normally there all the time.
I would suspect the water pump. Done a couple for similar symptoms and noise to yours .
