Taking a long time to warm up?

Have had my Clio for a few weeks now and I've noticed that although the car is bringing itself up to safe temperatures in normal times, the car then starts sounding so much better after about an hour of driving.

The exhaust sounds so much better with a deeper tone and 'growl' to it.

Is there any way I can get it warmed up sooner than an hour? The sound is amazing and it drives much smoother as well!

u will find these with all of them mate, mines the same, the only thing u can do which possible i found helps slightly is heatwrapping your system

does it hold temp when it finally gets there? if not sounds like thermostat

I have exhaust wrap on my track day alfa but was sceptical about the part of it speeding up the gas flow when up to temprature.

After a good track session the exhaust note is so much deeper and revs so cleaner it's actually true.

replace the thermostat,only about 20 notes and helps no end,plus its pretty simple to do yourself
