Strange sound after changing rear discs and pads

you will still get the pads touching the disc face - from the video it doesn't seem to be binding and spins easy - more than likely the new discs have still got a sharp leading edge on the hole/grooves causing the actual noise - even when worn off they will still produce some noise...
looking closely at the pictures the holes do not seem to have any countersink on them this would make some noise . Easy to rectify you can do it yourself in situ with a electric drill with the correct bit in. I would however recommend a better job would be done by doing them on a pillar drill so you can set the stop and get everyone the same. I actually got solid standard discs for my E30 and drilled and countersank mine myself. Much cheaper for me ( but I had access to a m/c shop at the time)

Would agree with this seems a pointless exercise to me. Once you have braked they will be back to wear they are now.

Thanks for the advice guys. The brakes work fine and as they don't seem to be binding, so I will probably leave them be for a while.

I'm heading on a roadtrip this week and doing around 2,000 miles. So I just wanted to make sure it wasn't anything to worry about before I go. That should give them a good chance to bed in properly too.

Thanks again for the info

These discs are not OEM aren't they? Maybe the bearings are not right and make this noise?

Only just seen the second page of this thread. They're MTEC discs and Brembo pads. It doesn't sound much like a bearing noise to me though. I've had dodgy wheel bearings before and they tend to make more of a whirring noise as you increase in speed in my experience.
