Spirit Blue Fiesta ST

Did try SCC performance and Airtec?

Do they give u a 2 piece option with these brake yet?

I ordered them through SCC. Still just the single piece discs at the mo.

Cant wait to see this N0ddie although I thought the brakes where alright when I test drove it. Do you find you get brake fade? I didn't get any on the 197 so I hope I don't get any on the st.

The standard setup is good yes. However I can't see them standing up to the abuse on track. I only experienced brake fade (With the standard setup) in the 200 on the track. I think if you get brake fade whilst driving on the road, you deserve to loose your licence lol.

N0ddie foxspeed Did you fit the short throw? Does it speed up the change any more? I found when test driving that I changed gear and there was almost a slight delay with releasing the clutch although I may not have been releasing it far enough? Car is being collected in 4 days now cannot wait.

Probz cud got em abit cheaper for you if knew was ordering em.

Pads putting in?

The kit comes with DS2500s.

I've not fitted it no. But a lot of folk that have, have said it makes a difference.

Also, I think the spacers are on their way to me. Fingers crossed they are here for the weekend.

Cant wait to see pictures mate! I'm going to wait until I get a few k on the clock before going for the mountune I think.

its a worthwhile mod and sort of only one I have done on mine as I found the shift a bit ****!!!

I just can't get on with the steering/tramlining in the fiesta so can't wait to hear if these spacers make a genuine difference.
Never seen a car so badly affected by camber.

really? cannot say its an issue on mine...I do find it very sensitive on the steering as it is a very quick rack and at first I was steering it too much on the motorway!

Yeah really mate, been in to ford twice to get looked at. Geometry is bang on and no faults found but it's crazy, go on a road with a minimum amount of camber, floor it and watch what happens. It will drag you near sideways haha.

I thought it was just mine but a colleagues wife has one and he tested it after I took him a drive in mine to show, and it does the exact same.

but apart from the steering I love it lol

So my spacers finally arrived however as I'm a complete noob when it comes to spacers (I've never really looked into them before and only have the so I can fit my big brake kit and still run the standard wheels) I'm unsure how they fit to the car.

So to give a better Idea of what I have, I've taken some pics:

The instructions are pretty pants but one question that jumps out at me is, do I need nuts to go on those studs?

yours look like you have to change the studs in the normal hubs and then fit the spacer over them and then bolt the wheel on...

Think I'm gonna send 'em back and buy a set of wheels with an offset that means I don't need to bother with spacers.

Disappointed aint the word tbh.

What wheels are you going for N0ddie? The standard wheels are lovely imo would be a waste to ruin the look of the car if you could get someone to fit the spacers for you? assuming they're safe enough and you have no handling issues!
