Shuv's Racing Blue 200...................

Bronze - curveball of the weekend! Cheers Mes...
BUT - thinking about it, this could well be a great compromise. Firstly, it means you just need one set of wheels. Secondly, resale becomes easier as it will likely appeal to more buyers. I know we shouldn't think about selling, but it's a sensible consideration when we modify our dear little hatchbacks.
And finally, we all know how good Tractor Boy looks on his bronze hardware
There we go, I think I've redeemed myself for being that overly sensible forum guy :tongueout:

Not just value - but your car being open to the widest market of potential buyers i completely agree Micah.

I love the Orange ! And at weekends with my baseball cap on backwards it would be great. If i ever had to rock up to a business meeting in it i deffo would be sheepish-Shuv; parking up in some far flung corner of the car-park out of sight i fear.....

You seem more unsure than me Jimmy ! I'm still not quite sure how you stand. Are you ? I'm not.....with me or you

Haha, my honest first impression was that they didn't 'go' with how the car is at the moment. But I must add - this is coming from someone who is not one for modifying/making drastic changes to the look of my cars, so I ain't the best qualified to be giving advice on the matter

I like the orange wheels, but my uneducated opinion is that the car needs extra orange touches for them to be a good match. IMO.

Should I keep digging myself this hole.....??

What about black wheels with orange bolts and calipers? Little more subtle but you still get more orange?

Cheers. Calipers sound easy and possible as we all know. Orange bolts (Powder-coated etc) sounds like a recipe for going tatty very quickly...

I think the Orange is still drowning or has already drowned........ I was never 100%; so the next mock-up on the horizon is Bronze. Bullets en-route and new RS badge en-route and ready. If we do this !

No hole Jimmy ! You know me - i ask opinions. But do what i want anyway  Your view is as worthy as mine......I think we all agreed on any change being 'better' if carried through with some accompanying subtle touches too; not just the wheels as standalone items.

It's all just an idea though. "We" don't have to go through with any of them if not convinced :sunglasses:

You've got about 18 hours to decide a colour before the parcel goes in the postbox..:excited:

I was kidding. In my sweaty palms is good in the first instance cheers bud.

Once them and the rear badge are here - they can go together. SS have been emailed about whether they can do them to a particular RAL code; so badges and wheels match exactly.....

Yeah that's alright, it's all packed up ready to go anyway, I've not tried to clean the rear of them simply for the fear of breaking a tab and feeling like a twat.

Oooooh, which particular RAL code?

Ain't got the foggiest yet ! Colour or shade. Just wanted to make sure they can exactly match their work to the wheels if / when it happens......

Tell you what - there's alot to be said for having a winter hack.: Leave it unlocked, jam it in anywhere at the Supermarket car-park, don't have to ever worry over it etc. And as you can imagine i've been tinkering just getting it as good as i can / getting rid of a few minor niggles. rattles etc for me and the boy...

My second (?) day off work in the last 20 years today i should think; as i'm feeling utter crap. If i feel any better over the weekend i'll be putting the Clio to bed for winter. Once i found the energy to even open the parcels....

"See you in May Blue Thunder" :sunglasses:

Interested to hear what your boy thinks about how you treat his pride and joy

It must be one of the few luxuries in the world to not have to worry about coming back to your car and finding scratches and dents on it! I do envy you!

And it's good to see that Blue Thunder will be getting just as much love and attention even when hibernating
