They've just gone downhill over the years, my parents had one of the first ones and it was brilliant and lasted for years, but I guess there's a reason that builders (the tidy ones at least) use henrys.

So to try and keep on topic! I'm not sure if you've mentioned it already but are there any plans for more power in the future? Something 'secret' in the pipeline?

Echo that. First £150 Dyson we had was great and lasted donkey's years. The first newer cordless one we got was £399 i believe. And you have no idea how much i hated spending that on a ruddy hoover ! Even worse was the fact it sucked. Well actually it didn't, but....

Second one was dire. Whether we had bad-luck i can't comment. I just willingly took a wad of cash back from the wife after returning it very quickly and getting a Henry T.

Power isn't really my thing mate. Although i can understand the Meg / Supercharging thing it's not really me. Now: ITB's have been mentioned and i won't rule that out. Mainly because i don't see that route taken often and the noise alone would do it for me....even if it wasn't ultimately 'loads' of extra grunt.

Alot depends on the whole Track car thing. But any more upgrades / anything engine-wise would need to be a pretty big spend and i'd then be committed to this car for a while...........

Can't beat a Henry. Mine are modified by a mate who removes the hi/lo switch so it's always on full tilt.
Currently paying £25p/h for driving lessons and robbing b*****d reckons 45 hours to pass on average!! Does that sound about right?

We found a good guy here who's £20 a lesson (Pretty sure they are an hour each). But he did an 11 for the price of 10 deal if you paid upfront - bringing it down to £18 odd each. And yea - im sure i read to expect the very least of 30-35 lessons needed.

Not something you can push too much without doing a week's intensive course....so time will tell !

That's fair enough, I do love a bit of power and itbs would be a dream for me, but for the cost/power ratio it's going to remain a dream unless I can get a car already kitted for a cheap price.

It would be good to see what you'd do with a track spec car and what approach you'd take with it.

+1 on the seat base sticker Shuv - there is just so much empty space there that it seems criminal to not put one advertising the fact you now have epic seats @Micah secretly loves them, he just won't admit it in public

Hopefully your lad's lessons are going well, if you've found a good instructor then that is a huge bonus. The very best of luck to him.

Nothing major happening in this corner of the internet: with brakes freshly done, outside looking a bit fresher and Recaro's eventually in and sorted - i've simply been enjoying it this week and taking the long-way home. What better way to start and finish every day

Only thing i have done is spent £20 odd on some Black plastic nut covers for under the hood to get rid of some of those 'ugly' looking galvanised type bolt heads....and stuck them on a few other odd fixings / heads too. I think it's a little improvement and a slightly cleaner look without being tacky or OTT.....





And this winter - with plenty of wax / protection newly applied in my recent 'Mega Detail'.....i'm going to only clean the outside every couple of weeks. Trying to stop all that in-ground dirt being rubbed into the paint.......which will happen however hard you try. I may even just snow foam and jet wash in between times; with no actual washing and contact as such.

Either way - today was a couple of weeks since the last wash and noticing i was close to running out of Bilt-Hammer Snow Foam i spotted this locally for sale during the week and snapped some up at just a £10 for 5 Litres:



Cling-ability was unreal (1/3rd of a litre used and topped up the litre bottle with warm water) and this was after going in to get a camera and whacking some batteries in it. And yes it was early and not really light when i started !



I then tidied away the jet-washer, hose, extension lead etc etc and more than 5 minutes later came back to this:



Wheels and hubs still looking great 16 months on from being powder-coated; and after a bit of a spruce-up and seal today:

My cheapo pressure washer is a Nilfisk C110 - which you can get for around £80 and comes with a couple of lances, couple of pressure nozzles and a 5m hose. Chuck in an ebay snow-foam lance at around £20 and you're good to go.

I still find it a bind at times if i'm honest to get it all out - but no denying it does a good job and is a bit of fun......

Yeah it's bind for me as well. Got an outside tap but no power point so have to run extension leads which I hate.
If it's a case of spray on wash off then it's worth the agg!!
Will investigate the foam lance a bit more. Have a karcher to hook it up to at present which I'm sure is man enough.

Normal consumption is like 1 desilitres / wash.. at least in my pa-lance? 100% dilution.
Car looks like new, i really like it.
