Shuv's Racing Blue 200...................

Thankyou for the kind words. Not sure what the next move is - if any here TBH. Unless you can see some glaringly obvious 'must haves' I'm missing out on and my life wouldn't be complete without ? )

Priority is to get a second / track car with my son and leave this one for sunny weekends only if his (our) insurance allows...

And @Johnny 99 - my Boss is a huge Military vehicle fan. Him and his Dad have a few Willy's jeeps, a follow-me jeep, personnel carrier, a lorry of some sort, an M715 or two, a Humvee and others I don't know much about ! You a fan ? Can soon rattle off some pics for you...

Cant wait to see your visions come to fruition too. I know you've been keen on a re-trim for about as long as i was. And i know the savings scheme Mrs M had in place had to be unfairly raided at times too......

Who are you marking up as a likely candidate for the work Mes ?

Yeah mate, it's been a long and steady save but as you said, it's been raided a couple of times sadly so not happening as quickly as I'd like.

Once the remap is out of the way, and hopefully everything is ok, we'll get on it with a bit more gusto.

As for who, B-Trim, Capital, Edge or Lawrence GT are the possibles at the moment. But I've not gone fully into it yet.

As for my vision... hmmm... still undecided on that but Mrs M has already got a few ideas. I'm really excited to get it done now.

BLOODY HELL AT LAST!!!

Myyyyyyy GOD they look absolutely bang on. Going for the grey was a brilliant touch. They suite so well with the rest of the car. Thought they would but they look even better than I was expecting. Close ups look MINT.

Come on mate, you must be thrilled? That's such a massive massive upgrade!

It's only Monday and that's post of the week winner nailed already!

Absolutely love it. Definitely going to have to look at changing my seats now...this makes my car look about 10 years older!!

It's taken a long long time but I bet you're well chuffed with this result, worth it in the long run. [emoji3]

Thanks guys - really chuffed with them. Look great in-car and feel pretty special too. Off to get the airbag light sorted tonight via clip; by a very kind member here and that's 'job done'.

"Pearlescent" is more a reflection(sic) of my photography skills - not on some newfangled coating on the leather.

**Not sure why - but the seats semi / fairly-matt and slightly textured finish is exactly as shown in the close-up pics of the stitching. Some of the full shots make them look smooth and shiny. But i assure you it's only my head that has that finish these days

Lovely! This has now rewarded you with a very special feeling every time you park your bottom to go somewhere.
In terms of other mods, I think a caliper refurb in metallic silver (or orange) would be the next thing. Alas, it's no major requirement, as long as it stops, that's the main thing, and the money can be used for more exciting things like a track car

Oh, and happy birthday!

I think the finish looks absolutely spot on mate. My pearlescent comment was just from looking at the pics. It seems to have hints of all sorts of different colours in it. Looks showbiz!

And the texture looks perfect.

Mate, they look SO good. Inspired choice on the colour!

Thanks for kind words on the seats. And you'd know

Funnily enough Brakes are being 'serviced' Thursday. No colour-change pencilled in mind ! This Orange wheels thing is going round in my head again though....

If i was hyper-critical Mes; the leather could have been 1/4 or 1/2 a shade darker to be absolutely perfection. Perhaps...... (?)

In saying that i was also aware that i'd rather be a hair too light than a bit too dark. I didn't want a dark-looking 'big black hole' of an interior going on.

I offered swatches up inside the car - but it has come out lighter-looking with the whole things done - than the small piece's offered up as a test, or infact even when i took the sections cut out to have the Recaro logo stitched on; into the car for comparison purposes.

But it's trivial in the scale of things and in no way at all am i unhappy. You just know what my standards and expectations are. Merely an observation about how very difficult getting 110% EXACTLY the right shade is. Put it another way though - i could have chosen 25 Blacks / Greys and combinations of that would have looked alot worse !!

So. Now my 'stress' is over/ I can sit-back, chill-out and watch you and your good lady 'fret and sweat' over yours

Good luck buddy.

Ha, fretting and sweating is on the way I'm sure!

Mate, it's good you're hyper critical, that's why your car has ended up being so bloody brilliant. It's amazing how dark a swatch can look and how light it ends up being once it's all done huh? From what I can see though, it looks absolutely spot on. Honestly, it was an absolutely inspired choice and has really made me rethink what we should do.
