Shuv's Racing Blue 200...................

Gtechnic have really good product which last for years. It is kind of similar coating which you can have for your paintwork.
My friend uses that Gtechnic plastic coating in his volvo, and he said that it have been fine for many years. It is quite expensive, but it is good.

This is perfect product for all black plastics which you have in your car, because of the price not for large parts like inner wings.. but mirrors, front grills etc.

You will struggle to find anything that keeps them black, I often use Chemical Guys Bare Bones seems to look good when done, but not for long.

I use the same, looks good for a bit but eventually wares, not much will ever stand up to what the wheels throw at it

As me and Antti have suggested, C4. It isn't a trim 'dressing' which is temporary and lasts no longer than a wash or two, but a PERMANENT solution to dull faded trims. Yes it is expensive if you look at price per ml, but overall not an expensive product. A few drops will go a long way. I have a 15ml bottle (yes it's that small!) and have done all the trims on two e46's and an e36, which I was considering buying new plastics for, as they were in a bad state, pretty much light grey. After doing three cars I still have 1/3rd of the bottle left, which will easily do all plastics, including the whole diffuser twice over. I saw the first e46 I used this on the other day, which I sold over a year ago and it looks just as good as the day I done it.

I'm so confident that I'll do my mirror bases and get some pics up to show the difference, and it will not fade in less than a year, at least!

As promised... my bases weren't in bad shape by any means, but I've still seen an improvement.
I'll let the pictures do the talking.

As you can see, no streaking, and look at the difference between the windscreen trim and scuttle panel!

Anyway.... enough of that, let's get back on topic!

How have you found the aerial booster Shuv? Did it work or haven't you had the chance to test it properly?

No i havn't had a chance to test at all i'm afraid - but can let you know when i do. You could obviously do with a little boost too ? Stubby aerial and sick of shat reception like the rest of us

I took all the window rubbers, lower seals etc off Sunday afternoon and had a clean-up in readiness for new ones arriving. Then had an issue with the damaged lower window seal from RPD; so nothing has gone back on yet.

To be fair - while messing around with all that on Sunday i also decided i wasn't happy with a spot of crud in the paint on one of the newly painted door strips. Drivers side too - and as tiny as it was; anal me would have noticed it every single day. So i removed that and dropped it back to the sprayers Monday much to his amusement / annoyance / anger....

Needless to say i'm using a company vehicle this week

Yep, I've reverted back to the original aerial as the stubby one was crap :tongueout:

Know what you're saying.

Not sure with you. But with me it means most National stations are rubbish - and a couple of the local ones are loud and clear.

Not that you want to hear some broad Suffolk / Norfolk accented spiel from a random farmer running on about his sugar-beet crop, or some chat about Norwich / Ipswich football (Said in a loose sense of the term) clubs......

Not as bad as what I had fitted to mine when I picked it up.... A 15 inch sticky strip with a massive box in the middle right down the passenger A pillar! Best bit.... it wasn't even wired in! I don't understand what goes through peoples heads sometimes.

Like this you mean? This is my DAB one! Hardly notice it and it's 10x better than FM...so much more choice.

No it was worse than that, I'll try and find a pic of it....

That's the one! It was mounted about 4 inches away from the pillar too!

Christ that's not an aerial that's a window cleaning blade[emoji23] Shuv. Don't buy one. (See, I am on topic[emoji849])

***Shuv hasn't bought one and would rather drag-up his old Wham CD's than have "that' inboard.......

Hey @sevenfourate, I've re-done my b-pillars after your help. In your post #2017 - can you link me up to the lower window seal (does the metal strip / bar come with it as my passenger side one has kinks) and is it easy to replace? Cheers!

If you want to hang on just a couple of days literally - i've bought all new window seals etc for mine now....and in with the "kit" i've bought; its looking like i'll have a brand new 'spare' passenger side lower which i can do you cheaper than from Renault / RPD etc

Perfect mate. Just to confirm will the 'spare' one you're referring to come with both the seal and strip of metal?

Give me a shout in a few days when you're ready to sell

It's all one part. The metal re-inforcing is built inside the rubber / seal surround. It will be brand spanking new and in the packet ready to fit with nothing else needed !
