Should I do a minor service before my remap

Hi guys

Getting my 197 fully decatted (Including pre cat delete) and remapped into about a weeks time leading up to fast show

I'm very excited but also a bit concerned as my last service was June last year. A few people have said to me its better to service a car before you map it for best gains!

Was thinking it might be worth while doing the following before its goes to ktec:

Engine oil
Spark plugs
Oil and petrol filters.

Is this a good idea?

Also a little off topic, but whos going to fast show this year?

when i mapped my impreza i did a service, just for peace of mind if nothing else

It certainly wont do any harm. Just a few extra pennies spent tbh.

yeah it will be fine mate,the plugs are long life but fresh oil never hurt anyone,i changed my oil plugs and filter before a map,as said,piece of mind...

Cheers mate, yeah I'll probably do that tbh, any idea what all that will cost?

plugs are around,£40 on ebay,oil will be about the same and i think a filter is roughly £8,i'd ask Karl on here,he'll sort u out
