Ship Tracking, Le Havre-Southampton

Have been bored and with nothing "important" to do I decided to see if I can track the ship carrying my 200 to the UK. I thought I would share with others incase you are as sad as me. lol

Where all the cars are loaded at Le Havre.

Off loaded at southampton.

I used http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais to see what cargo ships were at the docks then I can figure out which one is going to southampton.

If you find any car trasnporter which goes from Le Havre or Santander (Meg 250s) please post up.

Hmmm, I thought the cars went from Dieppe to Newhaven, then were transported to the Renault centre at Southampton?

That is something I never found out. I had a suspicion it wasn't le havre but couldn't confirm which port.

My dealer did not say dieppe though.

They are definately southampton or Teesport (I think) for the north. For VAG cars I know its emden - Sheerness/Grimsby.

The ship mines came in on was the Laudace/L Audace, this goes cauxhaven>santander>le havre>teesport>cauxhaven iirc - http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/shipdetails.aspx?MMSI=224876000

It goes from Le Havre to Teesport over night.

IIRC the actual import center is Teesport, they are then distributed accordingly.

You can then use pd ports shpping reports to see when it will arrive.

If you look at last 7 days you will see the L Audace arrived at 9pm on the 02/12/2010, this was the shipment that my 200 came in on.
The dealer told me the day before that it was shipping, then the next day they told me tis arrived at Teesport.

i admire your dedication....not known anyone trying to follow the ship their new car is on :thumbup1:

When my dealer emailed me, he said my car was at Le Harve and would be shipped to Southampton.

I dont understand that map thing though :S

Ah thats where you slipped up Maz....

Even better is stalking the dealer and holding him hostage until they 'deliver'

:-p

I feel your pain.. The waiting is a killer, if I hadn't found this place I would have walked to France when my car was delayed.

I genuinely haven't found it too bad but I have been busy with work. Apart from walking everywhere, it's been quite a nice change not having a car this past few weeks. Saved me a load of money :wiz:

I agree with the money saving, I just need to try harder and not spend it now I have the car.
