Shaking through steering wheel on wife's barge

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this one, any help much appreciated.

Had the front pads done on the Mrs' barge last week and now and then there's a shaking through the steering wheel, this then goes after a few miles but then comes back again.

Have since had new discs on, tracking done and wheels balanced but its still the same. It was fine before the pads were put on so can't understand what's up.

The garage has suggested it may be a sticking caliper, would this cause this kind of thing ?

Cheers

you can sometimes get it with worn suspension ball joints - causes a kind of "shimmy" in the steering...

also worth checking the disc run-out - even on new discs as could be some rust under the hub/disc face causing a run-out/vibration...

uneven braking and odd pad wear will show if a caliper is sticking along with different temperatures at each wheel

other items are out of round tyres and buckled wheels etc

what car is it?

It's a Chevrolet Captiva Fox, it's still under warranty so she's managed to get it into the stealers next week.

Cheers for the suggestions guys, I'll check them out
